The new generation of Porsche 911 will receive a “charged” version of the GTMarch 25, 2019
High-performance performance of the new generation sports coupe Porsche 911 will definitely be presented. Most likely, the car will be released in limited edition.
Contrary to what many true fans of the German Porsche may have feared, the German company does not intend to electrify its entire lineup – the Taycan electric sedan and its universal version of the Taycan Cross Turismo are more the exception.
As part of his recent interview, automaker CEO Oliver Blum assured the Porschephiles edition that the legendary 911 sports coupe will still be equipped with an internal combustion engine. And we have every reason to believe it.
After the presentation of a completely new generation of cult model – it was in November last year, the number of representatives of the updated family is constantly growing.
A 911 in the body of a convertible has already been shown, and more powerful versions of the Turbo and GT are under development. Test prototypes of the last two cars were seen last year.
Mr Blum gladly revealed some additional information about the future of the 911 family. In his interview, the head of the company confirmed that a new version of the Porsche 911 GT will be presented, which will become part of the updated Porsche 911 family (internal factory index 992).
No further information from the interview with the Porsche director was provided. Can the new version of 911 in the GT version be a “soft” hybrid and a plug-in hybrid version of 911? Most likely, no, since Mr. Blum was quick to mention that the third version of the Porsche 911 GT is likely to be a special edition of a limited edition.
