The new generation of Opel Mokka partially unveiled on the official videoJune 22, 2020
The German automaker posted a short video on its YouTube channel in which, in addition to the new crossover, the brand’s director general Michael Losheller starred.
The plot of the video published is simple: Opel CEO Michael Losheller briefly talks about the future new product, focusing on its manufacturability and spectacular appearance. At the same time, the exterior details of the next Opel Mokka flash without any camouflage.
Recall, the new generation of this crossover will be the first among the production cars of the brand to receive a new design of the front of the Opel Vizor. The essence of this design decision is that the grille, headlights and the company logo are combined into a single whole. Also, the novelty got a stylish 2-color body painting, elegant lights and a large inscription with the name of the model on the tailgate.
With the change of generation, Mokka will move to a new platform – the manufacturer will replace Gamma II from GM with the French CMP. Thanks to this, the cross will become lighter (its curb weight will decrease by 120 kg). The body was added rigidity.
The second-generation Opel Mokka engine range will include gasoline and diesel turbo engines, as well as a fully electric installation. The brand promises to present a novelty this summer. But in the series a new cross, including its “battery” version, will be released in the last quarter of 2020. European sales of the new SUV are scheduled for early 2021.
Previously, the video showed the new crossover Nissan Magnite. In the model range of the brand, the new compact cross will be located one step below the Nissan Juke.
