The new generation of Jeep Grand Cherokee will get a seven-seater versionDecember 9, 2018
By 2020, the company jeep plans to release a new generation of crossover Jeep Grand Cherokee. FCA has high hopes for its Jeep brand, which is now the most profitable, and will expand the Grand Cherokee lineup by adding a seven-seater version.
Concern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plans at the turn of 2019-2020 to hold a presentation of the new generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. The current version appeared on sale at the beginning of the decade, and at the moment is already morally and technically outdated, which affects the popularity.
Despite the fact that the new version of the crossover is not yet presented, some details have already been disclosed. The most likely change is the appearance of the three-row version. Another change will be a change of platform, which will become common with Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The platform will receive some improvements, to better match the capabilities of an SUV. The transmission, “sharpened” under difficult conditions when overcoming rough terrain, will also undergo changes.
It is assumed that the release of new items will be adjusted to the modernized factory Mack Avenue Engine II in Detroit, idle for more than six years. Of course, a simple change of equipment and some small things will not do. FCA will be forced to build additional sites and workshops, but its launch will provide jobs with at least 400 jobs.
Unfortunately, all the information is preliminary and details may change.
