The new generation Genesis G90 will be equipped with an autopilotMay 3, 2020
After entering the market, a luxury sedan may become one of the most technologically advanced among its competitors.
Hyundai Corporation recently decided to surprise motorists with its high-profile novelties. Not so long ago, a loud presentation of the Hyundai Elantra sedan took place, which, after entering the market, may become one of the most technologically advanced cars in its class. The next step is the development of a new generation of luxury sedan Genesis G90. And it is already known that he will be able to surprise.
Not so long ago, one of the main competitors of the G90, the German Audi A8, spoke about its third-level autonomous driving system. Despite all the advantages, it has one drawback – such a model will be equipped with only one lidar in front, which limits the monitoring of what is happening on the side. But the Genesis G90 will receive two radars – one on each side.
Thus, it will be possible to organize an improved system of autonomous driving. Hyundai suggests that the car will be able to move comfortably even in difficult cloudy conditions.
In addition, the new G90 will be equipped with hardware cameras and sensitive sensors, which are a single algorithm. Such equipment corresponds to the third level of autonomous driving. Under the hood of the novelty will be a 2.5-liter engine, which will be combined with an 8-speed DCT gearbox. Due to this combination, it will be possible to increase efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. It is assumed that the new product may be released this year.
