A new model of the Croatian manufacturer of electric cars Rimac will receive a power plant with a capacity of over 1224 horsepower, a set of batteries with a capacity of 120 kilowatt and autopilot. This is reported by the publication Autocar with reference to its own sources within the company.
According to the source of the publication, the characteristics of the car were revised after the debut of the new Tesla Roadster, which will receive batteries for 200 kilowatt. There are no other details about the novelty of Rimac yet. It is only known that the autopilot of the machine will correspond to the so-called fourth level of autonomy. It allows the electronics to fully control the machine in all situations, but, nevertheless, requires the presence of the driver behind the wheel.
As Managing Director of Rimac Monika Mikach stated, the previously announced name of the future car – Concept Two – is a working variant, and the name of the serial model will be different. She added that all the characteristics of the novelty will be better than the first model equipped with four electric motors with a total capacity of 1224 horsepower and a set of batteries with a capacity of 82 kilowatt-hours. 100 km/h this car is capable to type for 2,5 seconds.
The novelty will be larger and more comfortable than the first model of the brand, but it will remain a two-seater. The company does not plan to issue a four-seater model.
All will collect 100 copies of Concept Two. The cost of each will exceed one million dollars.
