The new Cupra Formentor will hit the market in 2020.July 22, 2019
Cupra, the last year the Seat was allocated as an independent sub-brand, showed a concept car, which is very close to the serial car.
The Cupra Formentor sports crossover will be available next year. At the same time, as autoexperts note, the novelty will differ little from the concept presented earlier. The new Formentor will get a little squat, but at the same time impetuous silhouette. A sloping roofline and taillights in the entire width of the cross will give him a healthy aggression.
The architecture of the cabin was developed taking into account all the needs and demands of the modern driver. The manufacturer has relied on bucket seats and carbon fiber trim, while multimedia with a large touchscreen will be a real decoration of the front panel.
The Cupra Formentor will be driven by a hybrid powerplant with a plug-in, which included a 1.5-liter TSI gasoline engine and an electric motor. Their total capacity will reach 245 horsepower, which makes the new sport-cross somewhat “weaker” than the same Cupra Ateca with its Four turbo engine by two liters. The novelty loses to its predecessor 55 hp The cost of Formentor is already known – about 41,190 pounds.
