The new crossover Lynk & Co debuted in ChinaJune 23, 2020
Lynk & Co is expanding its line in China with a new SUV: 06. The new model is the fifth in the line of the Chinese brand.
A subsidiary of Geely, Lynk & Co, added a coupe-like SUV 05 to its range at the end of last year. And now a crossover with a more traditional Lynk & Co 06 silhouette will join the line.
Lynk & Co 06 is a 4.34 meter car. Although the exterior design, with its striking headlights and taillights, is for the most part branded, the SUV itself is actually a cousin of the Geely Binyue (in some Geely Coolray markets). This means that the car runs on the Geely BMA platform, a smaller version of the modular CMA platform that Volvo uses, among other things, for the XC40, and on which Lynk & Co 01, 02 and 03 are also based.
The engine range includes the famous 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 177 hp. and a torque of 255 Nm, as well as a plug-in hybrid version based on the same gasoline unit, combined with an electric motor and a battery of 11.3 kWh, providing 62 km of full electric mileage on the NEDC cycle.
Lynk & Co 06 is due to arrive in Europe later this year. In the list of countries where Lynk & Co will sell its cars exclusively via the Internet, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Italy, France, the Netherlands and Spain are in the first place.
