The new Chinese sedan Hyundai Lafesta will be an electric carAugust 23, 2019
Judging by the first photos, the model will lose its radiator grill, get a charging connector under the front logo, a new bumper and alloy wheels with an aerodynamic design. But the optics will remain the same.
Hyundai Lafesta is a youth sports sedan available exclusively in the Chinese market. In the new version, the model will receive a fully electric version in several trim levels. Electric Lafesta has so far appeared only in the base of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Trade, and sales will begin in the fourth quarter.
In the classic version, 1.4- and 1.6-liter turbo engines with up to 140 hp are available to customers. (240 Nm) and 190-204 forces (265 Nm), respectively. In the electric version one electric motor will be installed, capable of developing up to 75 horsepower. But top-end equipment will also be available with an 184 horsepower electric motor that can develop up to 310 Nm of torque. The dimensions of the sedan are comparable to the Hyundai Elantra: length – 4705 mm (+45), width – 1790, height – 1435 (+10), wheelbase – 2700.
It is assumed that the maximum speed will be only 165 km / h, and the cruising range can reach about 300 km.
