Chevrolet introduced a seven-seat modification of the Blazer crossover. The novelty became the fourth SUV with three rows of seats in the American brand lineup after the Traverse, Tahoe and Suburban models.
The length of the seven-seater version of the Chevrolet Blazer was 4999 mm, which is 137 mm longer than the standard crossover. At the same time, the size of the wheelbase remained the same (2863 mm) – the extra space will be provided by the elongated rear of the car. The production of a seven-seater crossover will be established in China, where it will become the largest Chevrolet model. It is possible that subsequently the model will appear on sale outside of China.
According to preliminary data, the engine lineup will remain the same. In China, the Chevrolet Blazer is equipped with a non-alternative two-liter supercharged engine with a capacity of 230 horsepower. Drive – exclusively on the front wheels.
The North American Chevrolet Blazer engine lineup includes a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine producing 195 horsepower, as well as a two-liter turbo four with 233 horsepower. In addition, a crossover with a 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 312 horsepower is available. In the US, the crossover is offered with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
