The new Cadillac Escalade 2021 debutedFebruary 5, 2020
The public premiere of the luxury SUV was organized in Los Angeles. The new SUV gets a redesigned exterior, a redesigned interior and advanced technology.
The new Escalade debuted in Los Angeles as a luxurious and technically advanced SUV, writes motor1.com. After the upgrade, Escalade changed the chassis, and its dimensions now coincide with those of the Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon, which debuted a little earlier. This guaranteed the new product more space for the rear passengers of the third row, as well as a more spacious trunk. Externally, the new Cadillac Escalade can be distinguished from its predecessor in a redesigned radiator grille, “narrowed” head optics, as well as graceful vertical taillights and stylish 22-inch wheels.
Inside the SUV there was a place for three displays at once: the 7.2-inch touchscreen to the left of the steering wheel is oriented to the driver, the larger dashboard screen is 14.2 inches behind the wheel, and multimedia with a 16.9-inch display is located on the right. In addition, the manufacturer has provided a pair of screens for the rear passengers, who will be responsible for the entertainment.
Also, the novelty relies on modernized navigation with augmented reality technology, as on individual Mercedes-Benz models. Special cameras broadcast on the screen a picture from the street in real time with various overlays.
Another innovation for the Escalade is the Super Cruise system, with which the driver can control the car without the help of hands on individual expressways. Not without an advanced audio system with 36 speakers. Previously, Escalade only boasted the 19th.
The Cadillac Escalade 2021 is powered by GM’s 6.2-liter V8, which produces 420 hp. Also, an off-road car with a new three-liter 277-horsepower turbodiesel will be available for purchase. Both engines are paired with 10AKPP and rear-wheel drive system with the standard possibility of four-wheel drive.
The novelty will appear on sale this summer. Closer to this time, the brand promises to declassify price lists.
