The new BMW M3 can get the manual transmissionNovember 4, 2018
Earlier we wrote that the “charged” trio of the new generation BMW M3 will be equipped exclusively with an automatic transmission. However, now information has become available that the company may submit a version with the manual transmission, but later than all.
Only a couple of months are left before BMW will launch the hardcore version of the BMW M3 (G20). We have already seen numerous photos of a camouflaged prototype, and renderings from independent designers, and earlier, we said that the “charged” novelty will receive only an automatic transmission.
New rumors have been reported (information obtained from anonymous sources) that the BMW management is considering the possibility of the appearance of the M3 with a manual transmission. In this case, it can be a good competition for models of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Audi S5, which completely abandoned the manual transmission. In addition, in the near future, the model can get four-wheel drive, instead of the classic rear for the model.
As a power unit on the car will be installed – 3.0-liter biturbo engine. The estimated capacity of the unit will be about 500 horsepower, but there is no official information yet.
The new BMW M3 should debut in 2019. Most likely – the presentation will be held at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
