The new BMW iX3 will be presented at the Guangzhou Motor ShowNovember 6, 2020
At the Guangzhou International Motor Show, which is scheduled to begin on November 28, 2020, BMW will present a number of its new products. The main premiere of the German automaker’s booth will be the all-electric crossover BMW iX3.
Earlier in a series of posts on Facebook and Instagram, the automaker said it was “going to shed light” on the world’s first electric crossover, the iX3. Of course, this kind of intrigue is rather pointless, since BMW partially showed the crossover in March, and in May it was completely declassified.
Like the iX3 demo prototype, the production model features a unique front panel with a fully enclosed grille. The electric crossover also gets a modified front bumper with vertical air intakes, aerodynamic wheels and front fender vents with the “i” logo.
According to the CSN-TV portal, the BMW iX3 will be the first to receive the fifth generation eDrive technology, which allows placing the electric motor, transmission and power electronics in a single module, as well as traction batteries with NMC 811 cathodes. The battery of the electric car will support fast charging technology, which will allow charge the car from 0% to 80% in 45 minutes.
In addition, 20 more models will be on display at the BMW stand at the Guangzhou Auto Show, including the new BMW 4-Series Coupe and the BMW 2-Series four-door coupe. And at the next booth, Mini will present the Mini Three Seven anniversary model.
