The new BMW 5 Series 2021 was spotted at the NurburgringOctober 30, 2019
Two concepts of the German brand in various bodies appeared on the cult Nurburgring track.
The updated BMW 5 Series already fell into the lenses of photo spies, but now the conceptual models have been brought to the Nurburgring. So, the company is testing a sedan and station wagon, whose bodies are partly covered with camouflage film.
The first is the navy 5 Series Touring station wagon. This concept has already been noticed this month. But if you take a close look, you can emphasize that this is a different machine.
The novelty will acquire modified headlights that have a new pattern and a more pronounced LED daylight line. In addition, it is worth emphasizing that the updated station wagon will not be equipped with an enlarged radiator grill, but everything can change.
The track also runs tests on the dark blue concept of a large-wheel-drive sedan hiding large brake calipers. However, this is not a full-scale M5 model, but, certainly, a powerful model that has a diesel engine with the M Performance package.
As for the engine range, the updated BMW 5 Series is likely to acquire a new hybrid option. Allegedly the name 545e xDrive, it will share with its plug-in powerplant the 745e xDrive iPerformance, which means that under the hood there will be a 3.0-liter turbo-six with an electric motor. Total output 375 hp
Soon, the German brand is unlikely to introduce its own new products. According to assumptions, the debut of the sedan and station wagon will take place in the second half of next year, as the model of 2021.
It also became known earlier that the new BMW M2 CS will be similar in handling to a racing car. The car will be offered with both manual and automatic transmission.
