The new BMW 4-Series was photographed with huge “nostrils”February 6, 2020
The BMW 4-Series production coupe will get a huge grille, like the Frankfurt concept car
Spy photos of the next generation BMW 4-Series coupe have appeared on the Internet. The pictures confirm the data that the novelty will receive huge “nostrils” made in the style of the radiator grilles of the flagship models of the Bavarian brand – the 7-Series sedan and X7 crossover.
Previously, the Germans have already said that a commercial vehicle will be approximately 85% similar to the Concept 4 prototype, which premiered in September 2019 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. At the same time, judging by the photographs, the radiator grille of the serial 4 Series will differ in the central dividing element and in a different pattern.
The next-generation BMW 4-Series will share the main components and assemblies with the “three” in the back of the G20. The engine lineup will include a 2-liter turbo-four, developing 252 hp and 400 N · m of torque, as well as a 3-liter in-line “six”, issuing 387 forces and 500 Newton meters.
Subsequently, the model will have a “charged” version with a twin-turbo engine with a working volume of 3 liters, available in two stages of forcing: 480 forces for the regular version and 510 hp for the Competition variant. Peak torque in both cases will be 600 Newton meters.
According to preliminary data, the premiere of the new BMW 4-Series will take place this year, but its sales will start no earlier than 2021.
