The new BMW 1-Series will be officially launched in 2019.March 20, 2019
The official presentation of the BMW 1-Series hatchback of a new generation will take place this fall, and sales of the long-awaited Bavarian novelty are scheduled to begin before the end of this year.
The next generation of the German hatchback BMW 1-Series, which was developed from scratch, should finally change the current version of the model, which has existed since the distant 2011. The wait was almost over as soon as official confirmation from BMW appeared that “a brand new compact hatchback will be unveiled this fall.” Well, the first deliveries to customers are scheduled to begin before the end of the year – we are talking about the European automotive market.
Although the exact date of the official premiere is not mentioned in a published press release, it is highly likely that the novelty will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show (Germany) in 2019 in September.
If this is so, then the online show of the BMW 1-Series can happen a few weeks earlier – I must say that in recent times, many automakers have done just that.
Based on the FAAR front-wheel drive platform, the Bavarian hatchback has been spotted several times on trials, where journalists could get to know it in more detail. Not only will a significant part of the car’s components and assemblies change, the appearance of the car, like its interior, will represent a significant departure from the current look of the model.
Switching to another platform will allow brand engineers to significantly increase the amount of free space in the cabin. In addition, according to our insiders, BMW will save up to $ 741 for the production of each new BMW 1-Series.
