The new off-road version of the Audi Sportback A1 2020 model year is already on sale at a price of 22 040 pounds
The new Audi A1 Citycarver SUV is located between the existing Sport and S-line options, has increased ground clearance and an updated exterior design. Standard equipment on the entry-level Audi A1 Citycarver 30 TFSI includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a sports steering wheel, a pair of fabric sports seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.8-inch infotainment screen. In addition, nine body colors are available, and all are offered with a contrasting black or gray roof.
For £ 22,040, shoppers also benefit from a host of safety and convenience technologies, including a lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, cruise control, downhill assist, a speed limiter and an anti-collision system developed by Audi with pedestrian recognition and cyclists.
The 30 TFSI is equipped with a 1.0-liter 114-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine. and a torque of 200 Nm. As a transmission, it uses a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic gearbox. With such a “filling”, the crossover reaches the first 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km / h.
The more powerful 35 TFSI Edition uses a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 148 hp. and 250 Nm of torque. It is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission or with a 7-speed automatic transmission, and is capable of developing 100 km / h in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 220 km / h. Like the standard A1, a larger engine costs more than £ 1,080 compared to a smaller unit.
Stylistic upgrades over the standard A1 Sportback include a new front bumper, black plastic wheel arch liners, modified side skirts and stainless steel underbody panels on the front and rear. The new, octagonal radiator grill is also special and, according to Audi, is inspired by the Q-brand SUV line.
The ground clearance of the A1 Citycarver is about four centimeters higher than the standard A1 Sportback, thanks to its slightly raised suspension and large 17-inch alloy wheels. Customers can order 18-inch wheels as an option, along with Audi’s dynamic package, which adds adjustable shock absorbers and red brake calipers.
The list of additional Citycarver options is basically the same as the A1 Sport list: dual-zone climate control, high-beam assist system and a multifunction D-shaped steering wheel. Audi Comfort and Sound Pack are also available, which adds an improved Bang & Olufsen stereo system, heated front seats and a more advanced parking assistance function.
