The first Genesis GV80 premium sub-SUV will be unveiled at a special event in South Korea on Thursday, January 16, 2020. It should be noted that the date of the presentation of the model was postponed several times, but now the company also showed the first official pictures of the new item.
The new crossover will compete with models such as the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Audi Q7. Note that the style developed by Genesis Design in South Korea, the USA and Germany, which will receive the new product, was first presented on the concept model GV80 Concept, which debuted at the 2017 New York Motor Show. The novelty looks sporty and stylish, as well as very sophisticated.
The appearance of the model echoes the restyled version of the flagship sedan brand G90 2020 model year. In the cabin, it should be noted a minimalist design with ultramodern equipment.
The Genesis GV80 will be based on the rear-wheel drive platform of the brand, however, an optional four-wheel drive system will also be offered to the client. According to unconfirmed information, the engine range of the SUV will include three power units with a volume of 3.0, 2.5 and 3.5 liters and a capacity of 274, 300 and 375 hp. respectively.
