The network showed images of the most budgetary coupe crossover SkodaJuly 5, 2020
The car’s design is based on the Skoda Vision IN concept car, and the model will differ from the classic version with the rear of the body.
Skoda is preparing for the Indian car market a new coupe-shaped crossover. Renders of a new car shared the publication “New Cars”. This is a coupe-crossover, which will be based on the Kliq crossover. According to preliminary data, the coupe-shaped cross will also be called Kliq, possibly with some additional index. If we compare the renderings of the new coupe-crossover with the patent images of Skoda Kliq, then the differences can be found only in the back.
On the renderings, we see a slightly different glazing line, a gentle boot, as well as modernized lights with LED filling. The Skoda Kliq crossover is based on a cheaper version of the MQB platform. Given the requirements for cars in India, its length will be about 4 meters.
Based on the “cart”, the engine range should receive two turbo engines with a volume of 1.0 and 1.5 liters with a capacity of 110 and 150 hp respectively. The first motor is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or a classic automatic machine, and a more powerful engine relies on a 7-band “robot”. Four-wheel drive for such a version of the MQB platform is not relied upon. The appearance of the car looks very modern, which should attract additional buyers.
It is expected that in the maximum version the crossover will receive 19-inch wheels, and in the cabin there will be a digital dashboard and a modern multimedia system. Whether the coupe-like version will go into mass production is still unknown, but the standard version of Kliq should appear closer to the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Skoda presented the updated charged Octavia RS liftback. The novelty can be equipped with powerful gasoline and diesel engines.
