The network showed a render of the new Audi A3 sedanMarch 6, 2020
The German company will introduce a new sedan in the coming months.
Audi was preparing to introduce the new A3 Sportback in Geneva, however, because of the auto show, the novelty was shown only in the images, and also published details about the fourth-generation compact hatchback. However, the brand plans to bring another new product to the market.
The network appeared a render of the new A3 sedan, developed by Kleber Silva. It is noteworthy that the novelty looks unusual. In addition to lengthening the rear of the car, the model also lost roof rails that make the A3 Sportback look like a mini station wagon.
While the A3 Sportback will initially be available with 1.0- and 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engines along with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, the US sedan is expected to be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. The outgoing version has 184 horsepower in front-wheel drive and 228 horsepower for the Quattro all-wheel drive model, both versions of the 2.0-liter TFSI engine connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Audi does not give exact dates when it will introduce the A3 sedan, but most likely it will happen later this year at the New York Auto Show next month or in Paris in October, and the online show is likely to be scheduled for a few days earlier.
