The network showed a pickup built on the basis of the BMW X7October 28, 2018
The flagship SUV from the Bavarians BMW X7 quite strongly liked motorists, and the network began to appear a variety of variations of this model. Independent designers decided to present what a pickup truck could look like at its base.
Earlier this month, BMW confirmed that it has no intention of entering the international premium pickup truck market because it is too small to justify the money invested. According to company executives, only Australia and, possibly, North America are in sufficient demand to make such a model profitable.
Of course, a pickup based on the X7 SUV would be in demand, but very limited. Also, the frameless platform itself would be a minus. And even despite the fact that the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system is one of the best on the modern market, it is not enough for a large and heavy-duty pickup truck.
Designer X-Tomi Design presented a fairly real prototype with the right proportions. However, he still looks strange and we know for sure that he will never appear in life.
Also note that a serious problem was found on BMW cars with installed sensors on the engine. Now the company has to withdraw 3,939 cars to replace the crankshaft sensor.
