Seat Corporation announced when the debut version of the Leon debuted, and showed off a teaser image of the new model. They will demonstrate the “hot” Leon model on February 20 in hatchback and Sportstourer station wagons. A similar Leon will acquire the Cupra emblem and a rechargeable hybrid unit.
Along with the road variation Leon will show racing Leon Competición and e-Racer. The hatchback and station wagon in the basic versions will receive a hybrid based on the 1.4 TSI turbocharged engine. Its total performance will reach 245 hp. Versions with the R prefix will probably be more productive – about 300 hp.
The track hatchback Leon Competición has a 2.0 TFSI engine with a 340 hp output. (410 Nm). Some of the car’s external panels were made using a 3D printer, including elements such as mirrors, air ducts on the hood and side walls, and steering wheel inserts. The e-Racer model, which was shown the year before last, received an aggregate with 4 electric motors and a maximum power of 680 hp.
The presentation of the new Leon model took place in January. At its core, as before, is the MQB platform. The Leon engine range includes 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 liter diesel engines and petrol engines, 2.0 TDI, 1.5 TGI methane units and a rechargeable eHybrid.
