The network published a video from the winter tests of Xpeng P7February 24, 2020
Xpeng Motors has distributed a video from the winter tests of the P7 electric car at a temperature of minus 35 degrees Celsius. Specialists of the Chinese company tested the batteries at sub-zero temperatures, adjusted the traction control system and tuned the chassis of the P7 model.
During winter tests, which lasted 120 days, Xpeng Motors tested a 2-wheel drive P7 sedan with all-wheel drive, which has a power unit that produces 430 hp. and 660 Nm, and also a battery of 81 kW / h.
According to the claimed characteristics, such a variation can accelerate to the first 100 kph in 4.3 seconds and has autonomy of 550 km in the NEDC cycle.
To refine the electronic systems, a winding ice road was built with several changes in direction. On average, an electric car moved along the track at a speed of 110 km / h. The vice president of Xpeng Motors was satisfied with the test results in cold weather: according to the top manager, “he feels a sense of pride in the power of the P7 in difficult winter conditions.”
It became known that the experts of Porsche Engineering helped to bring the chassis of the electric vehicle of the Chinese manufacturer. Xpeng now notes that the chassis of the future electric car is better tuned than the “reference sports cars of the premium class.”
Earlier, Xpeng Motors was going to begin production of customer electric cars in the second half of this year. The cost is already known: the standard rear-wheel drive 266-horsepower Xpeng P7 will cost 240 thousand yuan.
