The network leaked photos of an unknown Ford pickupFebruary 20, 2019
Presumably, this may be the layout of the new Ranger
The network has photos of a full-size model of a pickup truck, which Australian journalists have called the new Ranger. There is no information on where the pictures were taken and which model was represented on them yet.
The Whichcar edition points to the obvious similarity of the car in the pictures with Ford models of the F-Series family. It comes from the grille, C-shaped headlamps, flashlights and the shape of the rear bumper. A tightly tinted glass may indicate that this is not a running prototype of a pickup truck, but a full-size mockup.
A new generation Ford Ranger pick-up was officially shown last year at the Detroit Auto Show. The model retained the frame structure, received a 2.3-liter gasoline engine of the EcoBoost family and a ten-speed automatic.
The latest innovations in the F-series are Super Duty heavy pickups. Depending on the version, they are equipped with a 6.2-liter petrol “eight”, a modernized 6.7-liter diesel engine Power Stroke or a new petrol “eight” with a capacityof 7.3 liters. All engines are paired with a new, enhanced 10-speed automatic transmission TorqShift.
