The network has the first pictures of the updated Opel Insignia Grand SportFebruary 19, 2019
Under the hood, this liftback will most likely be the engines of the French concern PSA. Appearance updates will be a little.
In the first half of October last year, we shared with you the first “spy” photos of the updated model Opel Insignia Sports Tourer (wagon). We were very surprised to see that the German brand is already preparing an update for its flagship model, and today we have another series of similar shots that prove that the update work is under way. This time we have a chance to look at the Insignia Grand Sport, which is essentially a liftback version of the second generation model.
The new prototype has a camouflage covering the front panel, so it’s probably where most of the changes are located. We expect to see a new false radiator grille, a different shape of the front bumper and perhaps a new design for the headlights. If we talk about lanterns, here you can see the traditional halogen lamps, while for more expensive models LEDs are available. The latter (+ company nameplate) are covered with black tape.
Much more important changes will be hidden under the hood of the car. New Insignia is likely to receive engines of the French concern PSA.
The German brand Opel has already updated its infotainment system for this model – so there should not be any changes. According to insiders, the salon will receive minor guidance.
That’s probably all, but what did you expect from the model’s facelift in the sederin of her life cycle.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the Opel Corsa 2020 received a serial body.
