The network has the first photos of the cross-coupe BMW X6 M50i in the production bodyJuly 16, 2018
Automotive experts are confident that the latest spy photos demonstrate the serial body of the future sports “brother” BMW X6. So, the network demonstrated images of the future model X6 M50i, whose debut is likely to happen already in the near future.
It’s safe to say that the guys from the Bavarian concern BMW, 10 years ago, with the release of the X6, were pioneers in the new segment of cars – the cross-coupe, which is increasingly capturing the automotive market. And now the company has brought to road tests the third generation of the model, on which it was noticed by the ubiquitous photo spies.
Judging by the images of the test prototype, the new model already has a production body, with the future possible color of the car, as well as branded discs from M Sport. This suggests that the company is currently testing not the standard version, but the charged version of the M50i.
As far as design is concerned, it’s hard to say much, camouflaging film interferes with considering any details. However, now we can note a more massive grille, made in a new corporate style of the company. Compared with the previous version, changes in the stern are more noticeable, where a new optics, made in a more narrow style, appeared on the new version of the X4.
According to preliminary information, a new version of the cross-coupe in the initial configuration sDrive40i will be offered exclusively with a rear-wheel drive. All other modifications already in the “base version” will be equipped with a proprietary intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system.
Most likely, the current prototype of the BMW X6 M50i uses under the hood a bi-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, which we could already see on the model M850i xDrive. Although these spy shots do not allow us to look inside the car, the interior of the BMW X5 2019 crossover model year will have to show the exact look of what to expect from a sportier SUV brother.
According to rumors, the next generation of the BMW X6 will be officially presented next spring.
Meanwhile, at the Festival of Speed in the UK, the German manufacturer showed a lightweight BMW M Performance Parts Concept coupe. The car turned out to be a kind of catalog of accessories on wheels, which will go on sale at the end of this year.
