The network has photos of an updated version of the Toyota Hilux pickupApril 25, 2020
On the Internet appeared photos of an updated version of the Japanese truck Toyota Hilux. The novelty, which, as before, will compete with the American Ford Ranger, will go on sale as a 2021 model year car.
We have long known that the Japanese mid-size Toyota Hilux pickup will receive an update in the middle of the current generation cycle of the model – the new product is scheduled for 2020. And thanks to the so-called “leak” of information from the automaker’s office, we can now take a look at the photos of the long-awaited news.
Expect a change in the overall style of the Japanese car. The “leaked” images, which depict the Hilux 2021 model year, show two headlight designs, one apparently designed for the basic configuration of the machine – it uses a combination of halogen lights and LEDs.
While a different configuration of the headlights will become available only for more expensive versions of the pickup truck – there is no “galagenok”, only LEDs. The revised taillights also belong to the category of LEDs, but it seems that the turn signals will still remain halogen.
One of the images shows a color palette with three new body shades – Emotional Red, Dark Blue and Oxide Bronze, and we also see two options for alloy wheels in sizes of 17 and 18 inches. Some exterior elements are painted in basic black metallic, depending on the selected equipment.
It is believed that the 2021 Toyota Hilux will receive updated engines – it is all about the same turbodiesel 2.8-liter engine, which currently produces 174 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque when connected to an automatic transmission and 174 hp. 420 Nm if it is connected to the “mechanics”.
A recent report claims that it will offer a more powerful GR Hilux with a completely new V6 turbodiesel offering more performance, as well as a 4×4 system, an upgraded suspension and chassis, more powerful brakes.
