The network has photos of a new generation of station wagon VW Golf VariantJune 18, 2020
Western publications have published photos from the tests of the brand new VW Golf Variant station wagon. The car received camouflage only in the taillights.
Admittedly, the Volkswagen Golf Variant (station wagon) is not the most exciting compact station wagon in the world. Despite this, the car is very popular among European families who need more space compared to what the Golf hatchback can offer.
A new batch of “spy” images shows the new model almost completely, with camouflage only on the taillights.
This right-hand drive prototype seems to be a lower-end version of the model, judging by the small wheels and the lack of artificial exhaust tips. Something rather strange is happening behind, because the red reflectors are wearing camouflage in body color, and fake red stickers are visible at the bottom of the bumper.
Judging by the fact that the car received a very small amount of camouflage, it can be assumed that the official debut of the universal version of the Golf should take place very soon. What else is unknown is whether the new Golf Variant will receive more powerful versions of the GTD and R in Europe. We are also interested to know whether a plug-in hybrid version of GTE will be presented for the new station wagon.
Engines, gearboxes, technology and everything else you can think of will be “inherited” from a conventional hatchback. In the case of the new Golf Variant, people will be mostly interested in the amount of luggage. According to rumors, the Golf Variant 2021 model year will receive a “trunk” volume of 605 liters with the rear seats folded.
