The network got spy photos of the largest SUV VolkswagenDecember 31, 2019
Volkswagen is preparing the premiere of the largest SUV in its lineup. The other day, photos from the tests of the new flagship SUV, created on the basis of VW Atlas, got to the Network.
The fact that the German company Volkswagen is preparing a new flagship model was hinted to us by the Volkswagen SMV concept, presented at the April Shanghai Motor Show. The show car was called a functional analogue of the popular Teramont. Now, snapshots of the serial version of the concept, which is currently undergoing the required tests, have got on the Web. The photos show that the commercial vehicle differs from the conceptual modified optics and new bumpers, but the interior is original.
In the interior of a serial SUV, the manufacturer placed a dimensional front panel, an electronic gear selector and a touch-sensitive climate control unit.
The length of the car reaches 5,100 mm, and under its hood lies a 299-strong V-shaped “six” of 2.5 liters. Also in the list of available engines for the novelty is a two-liter turbocharged power of 186 or 220 hp. Transmission – seven-speed “robot”, the type of drive – front or full.
Also, the new product relies on a rich set of useful options: stabilization and lane control systems, 3-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control with collision avoidance function, parking assistant, modern multimedia with a large touch screen, glass roof with sunroof and much more. The brand promises to present a serial SUV in the first half of 2020. JV SAIC-VW in China will release a new product.
