On the island of Vancouver (USA), a team of engineers from the American brand brought a prototype of the all-electric Rivian R1T pickup, which was shot for an advertising company. The start of sales of new items is scheduled for next year.
Rivian engineers are currently located on the island of British Columbia, which is located northwest of the state of Washington (USA) – there they conduct development tests of their all-electric R1T pickup truck. And at the same time, a novelty with impressive technical characteristics takes part in the shooting of a commercial.
The guys from the YouTube channel Ukeedaze, who for some reason also ended up in the same place at the same time, had a great opportunity to film the entire testing phase.
Here is what the official description for the published video says: “We were lucky to attend the closed testing of the RIvian RT1 pickup, which is also being shot for the commercial. Introduced in the automotive market next year, Rivian’s all-electric truck is one of the most exciting cars in history, as well as the first truck with a fairly large power reserve. The cars boast supercar features and impressive off-road capabilities.
According to the assurances of representatives of the American company Rivian, their electric pickup will receive a battery with a capacity of 180, 135 or 105 kWh, so that the car can travel on a single charge of 640, 480 or 370 km. The pickup truck will receive an all-wheel drive system – on each wheel there will be an electric motor with a capacity of 147 kW (200 hp). The total power of the power plant will be 710, 764 and 408 hp. depending on the version. It is reported that the pickup will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds.
