The most reliable cars are namedJune 21, 2018
Korean Genesis cars topped the list of the most reliable in the US. At the same time, the quality of machines on average increased by 4% compared to the previous year
The American company J.D. Power and Associates, which conducts independent customer satisfaction surveys, has published an annual rating of automakers with the highest quality and reliable machines. For the first time the list was headed by Genesis.
The study is based on a survey of 75,500 American owners of new cars. They were asked to answer 233 questions (divided into 8 main categories) about the problems they discovered during the first 90 days of operation. Based on the survey, a rating was compiled reflecting the average number of defects attributable to 100 vehicles of each brand.
It turned out that for every 100 Genesis vehicles there are 68 problems. In second place was last year’s winner of the rating – Kia (72 malfunctions per 100 cars). Hyundai company closes the first three, the indicator of which was 74 defects per 100 cars. On the fourth and fifth place Porsche (79) and Ford (81) respectively.
The car manufacturer with the most unreliable cars named the company Land Rover – 160 defects for 100 cars. In addition, at the very bottom of the list were the brands Jaguar and Volvo with a score of 148 and 122 breakdown, respectively.
The company’s report notes that the quality of cars on average increased by 4% compared to last year. “There is no doubt that most automakers listen to consumers and bring the quality of the car to the highest level,” said one of the leading experts J.D. Dave Dave Sargent.
At the same time, the company noted that most owners of new machines still complain about malfunctions and errors in multimedia complexes, and the incorrect operation of electronic auxiliary systems.
