Supercar Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, which is the most powerful version of the model, was able to accelerate to 346 kilometers per hour. Until that moment, the manufacturer had called only the approximate maximum speed of the car.

The test races of the supercar were held at the training ground in the German Papenburg. In order for the car to reach the real maximum speed, a massive rear wing was removed from it, which both increases the downforce while driving along the track, and increases the aerodynamic resistance at the straight lines.

During the first arrival of the Chevrolet Corvette, the ZR1 accelerated to 346 kilometers per hour, and in the second – up to 338 kilometers per hour. The average speed was 341 kilometers per hour.

The supercar is equipped with a 6.2-liter eight-cylinder engine with a mechanical supercharger, which produces 765 horsepower. From zero to 96 kilometers per hour the car can accelerate in 2.85 seconds, and up to 160 kilometers per hour in six seconds. For 10.6 seconds the coupe is driving a 402-meter straight drag line.

Version ZR1 debuted at the end of last year. The model offers two types of rear wing, which differ in the degree of generated downforce. Also the machine is available with active shock absorbers with magnetorheological fluid and sports tires Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.
