The manufacturer of racing off-road cars Bowler will let out road modelAugust 11, 2018
The British company Bowler, engaged in the construction of racing SUVs, announced the release of a new road model. The car will be built on the basis of Land Rover Defender and will be equipped with a V8 with a capacity of more than 400 horsepower. At the heart of the novelty will be the chassis of its own development Bowler – Cross Sector Platform (CSP).
Nothing is known about the new car. The teaser shows that the Defender will receive LED optics and wheel arch extensions. The CSP platform consists of unified model subsystems and components, which allows the use of a common architecture for the construction of various cars. Including, with the wheel formula 6×6.
The first car, built on a new platform, was the prototype of the CSP Concept Vehicle. With its help, the company demonstrated that vehicles on the CSP platform can be used to service law enforcement forces, border and customs control teams, personnel transportation, as well as for research and humanitarian missions.
In 2013, Bowler Motorsport founded a racing mono series for SUVs, which involved short-haul Land Rover Defender 90, equipped with an upgraded 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel.
