The interior of the updated crossover BMW X6 is capturedFebruary 17, 2021
Judging by the “spy” photos of the updated crossover BMW X6, the Bavarian coupe novelty will receive a new interior with many screens. The noticed prototype did not receive any body masking at all.
Despite the fact that relatively recently, the Bavarian automaker introduced the third generation BMW X6, the premium brand is preparing a significant update for its coupe crossover.
We’ve got the first spy photos of the refreshed X6 that show some major changes to the interior. Judging by the fact that the prototype seen has no camouflage, this suggests that BMW is currently not ready to show the updated design.
The headlights, however, appear to be different from those of the current X6.
It looks like temporary optics are being used, which is necessary so that the car simply has headlights. According to insiders, the new X6 will receive redesigned headlights with new interior graphics.
In the salon of the novelty, everything is much more interesting. Here, this prototype has a large curved body with two separate screens – one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster. The cabin has additional testing equipment – the keyboard is worth mentioning separately.
It looks like BMW is integrating HVAC controls into the refreshed X6’s center screen. The physical buttons that we know from the current model still exist in this test car, but there is a small sticker in German that says the buttons don’t work. It’s also worth noting that the gear lever is now much smaller, but this may not be its final design.
We believe that there are at least 10-12 months left until the appearance of the updated X6. This early prototype suggests that the interior changes are likely to be more significant, but that additional exterior changes could be made.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the updated BMW X7 crossover appeared in a series of photos. Western publications have published a series of photos from tests of the updated BMW X7 crossover. It is expected that there are still several months left before the debut of the new item.
