The incredible acceleration of the heavy Audi RS Q8 …January 9, 2020
The premium German crossover Audi Q8 in the most powerful RS version effortlessly accelerates to 302 km / h on the German autobahn. Its maximum speed is 304 km / h.
When Audi released the RS Q8 high-performance full-size crossover, a team of automakers rushed to set a new Nurburgring racetrack speed record. As a result, the car was able to earn the title of the fastest serial crossover that has ever walked on this German highway. Previously, this title was assigned to the German Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S.
Now that the famous and very insidious racing track has been subdued, it is time to experience the monstrous Audi RS Q8 on the autobahn – a high-speed track in Germany where there are no any speed limits.
A new video from the hartvoorautosNL YouTube channel demonstrates the capabilities of a high-performance crossover that travels along the famous road at three-digit speeds.
The video shows how the RS Q8 accelerates and decelerates on the highway, avoiding passing cars if necessary and observing maximum safety while doing this as carefully as possible. At the end of the video, when the road ahead is clear of other cars, the driver accelerates its Audi car to an impressive 303 km / h.
The Audi RS Q8 is based on the MLB Evo modular platform and features a powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that combines with a soft hybrid system. In general, the car’s power plant produces 592 horsepower (800 Nm). Despite the fact that the Audi RS Q8 is a rather heavy crossover due to all the abundance of luxury that is on board, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 3.8 seconds, which cannot but impress.
