The image of the charged crossover Ford Escape Raptor appeared on the WebApril 18, 2019
Design Studio X-Tomi Design decided to dream up on this topic and presented its own version of the possible Escape Raptor. The car received increased ground clearance, plastic protection and off-road tires.
Now that the Ford Escape compact crossover (aka Kuga in other markets) is officially introduced, people are already coming up with all sorts of interesting derivatives based on it. The fourth generation of the model, which will be positioned as the 2020 model year crossover, was recently presented on the render – then, independent artists wanted to present their vision of what a more powerful version of ST could look like.
Now, we are offered to look at a possible version of Raptor, which is designed for severe off-road and has a more powerful engine.
Keep in mind, Ford has already announced the appearance of the off-road version of the new Escape – it is reported that this car will be introduced in about six months. It will get a more square shape, increased ground clearance, as well as a more vertical windshield.
Nevertheless, we can still dream of Escape Raptor, which, if created, will join the full-size F-150 Raptor pickup and the Ranger Raptor compact pickup. With increased ground clearance, bulk off-road tires and black plastic skin of the body, the novelty will go off-road modification for the small EcoSport Storm crossover.
Since nothing can stop us from dreaming, the Escape Raptor should get a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine from the new Focus ST, with a capacity of 276 horsepower (420 Nm). Diesel might make more sense due to more torque at low revs – in this case, the car could get a 2.0-liter engine producing 210 hp (500 Nm).
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the Ford Mustang 2020 will receive a new version of High Performance.
