The guys from Lynk & Co are testing a new coupe-shaped crossoverMarch 27, 2019
Chinese brand engineers are testing a prototype of a new coupe-like crossover in Germany. At the moment, there is very little data about the new product – some sources claim that the car will be a modification of the Lynk & Co 01 crossover.
The Chinese automaker – the company Lynk & Co, is going to start selling its cars outside its domestic market. This is the second time when we see the testing of a new crossover with a sloping roof – it is reported that this time, the prototype was seen in Germany.
It resembles the existing full-size crossover Lynk & Co 01 – now that most of the heavy camouflage is removed and only the film remains, this is most noticeable. In addition, it is very easy to see the shape of the upcoming new items.
Unfortunately, at the moment there is not much data on the Chinese novelty, except that it is likely to become a coupe-like version of model 01. Heavier camouflage covers that remained in the front of the car, as well as large side mirrors also favor this theory. But the back of the new product has similarities with the German Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
The production of the crossover 01 uses a compact modular platform brand Volvo. With its knots and aggregates, the Chinese novelty can also be similar to Lotus. The fact is that almost a year ago, the former CEO of the British Lotus Jean-Marc Geyles said that the company plans to create a crossover based on Volvo. At the moment, Lotus is owned by the Chinese group Geely, which also owns Lynk & Co and Swedish Volvo.
Now, the 01 crossover is the best-selling car in China – a sales record was recorded, when in just 26 minutes 6,000 pre-orders were issued throughout the country.
