The future Opel Astra Sports Tourer 2022 showed on an accurate renderJuly 19, 2021
In a little over three months, order picking for the new Opel Astra 2022 will begin. The Sports Tourer 2022 is next on the German brand’s launch list.
The network showed renders of the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer 2022, which will debut in about six months. Next spring, a station wagon will appear with the same modern design and engines as the compact hatchback.
Opel will continue the styling line established by Stellantis. The stylists of the German company will add additional volume at the back, generously increasing the length and especially the rear overhang. This “plus” will increase the volume of the trunk. Aesthetically, a third fixed glass will be added to the C-pillar, as this faithful rest shows, enhancing its design.
A fast and inexpensive second body solution that will keep the rear view intact in the compact version. The render features a heavily tilted tailgate, which will also offer a sportier look. Thin taillights with a distinctive luminous signature and the brand’s emblem and name in the center are visible.
The big difference between the two bodies will be in the volume of the boot with more capacity with the rear seats folded and unfolded. There will be no differences in advanced equipment.
Inside, the future Opel Astra Sports Tourer 2022 will be decorated in the same style. The avant-garde dashboard is designed in the style of Pure Panel.
The new generation of the family will receive a range of seven mechanical parts. You can choose from two petrol engines with 110 and 130 hp output, a diesel unit with a similar power rating and two plug-in hybrids with 180 and 225 hp. It will be one of the highlights of the spring at the 2022 Geneva Motor Show. It will go on sale this summer.
