The official premiere of the Hyundai Palisade crossover will be held on the night of November 28-29 (our time) at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The manufacturer has so far shared only a few teasers of the novelty, but the design of the model is no longer a secret. So, last week the first SUV images without camouflage were uploaded to the Network, and now at the disposal of the Chinese edition of Autohome were fresh photos, with much better quality.

The appearance of the Palisade is made based on the concept of Hyundai HDC-2 Grandmaster, presented in July of this year at the exhibition in Busan: the commercial suv got similar grille and optics, massive rear roof racks. Note that on the new frames there are horizontal stripes on the grid, whereas in the previous shots the model had a grid with “strokes”.

The interior of the Hyundai Palisade is also already revealed, the Korean Car Blog: the touch screen of the multimedia system is visually combined with the dashboard, and, judging by the pictures, instead of the traditional gear lever, the buttons are responsible for controlling the transmission. It is known that the novelty will be offered with an eight-seater interior.

According to preliminary information, the Palisade is built on the same platform as the Kia Telluride. It is expected that the flagship Hyundai will be available with a V6 engine. Korean media suggest that we are talking about an 3.8 GDi engine, familiar from other Hyundai-Kia models — for example, such an engine is in the arsenal of the Genesis G90 sedan; Diesel will still be provided for the Palisade in the home market – local specialized media tipped the 202-horsepower 2.2 Santa Fe engine to the crossover. The base Hyundai Palisade has front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive will be offered for an extra charge.

In the lineup Hyundai new crossover will replace the Grand Santa Fe, the price has not yet been announced. The first market for the Palisade will be Korea, where SUV sales will start before the end of this year. In the summer of 2019, the model will appear in the United States.
