Concept public debut will take place at the Geneva Motor Show
The Cupra brand revealed the appearance of the first model, which was developed taking into account the specifics of the brand. It was the Formentor hybrid crossover. The novelty in the status of the concept debuts at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
The appearance of the Cupra Formentor is conceived by designers as a combination of the classic crossover style and a sports car. As conceived by the creators, rear optics in the entire width of the body and the matte finish of Petrol Blue should speak of “sophistication and high quality.”
The crossover is named after the peninsula of the same name in Mallorca. Its eastern part, Cape Formentor, was nicknamed the “meeting place of the winds”.
For interior trim Cupra Formentor used leather in two colors. The crossover is equipped with bucket seats with a carbon base, cut in the lower part of the wheel, a digital dashboard and a 10-inch display with an integrated climate control unit. On the central tunnel there is a push-button transmission selector, an engine start button and two USB-C connectors.
The Cupra Formentor is driven by a hybrid power plant consisting of a turbo engine, an electric motor and an integrated battery pack. The total return – 245 horsepower. The moment of the engine is transmitted to the wheels through the robotized gearbox DSG. On the electric Formentor can travel up to 50 kilometers in the cycle WLTP.
The concept equipment also includes DCC electronic shock absorbers and a differential lock.
