The first teaser for the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV appearsAugust 11, 2020
The press service of the American automaker has published a teaser for the full-size Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV for the first time. The date of the official presentation of the novelty is still unknown.
I must say that the teaser image, which says absolutely nothing about the new car, makes you wonder why you need it at all. Regardless, we’re delighted that Jeep is finally getting ready to unveil the all-new Grand Wagoneer. Earlier, the company’s press service posted a photo on their social networks, which talks about some of the details of the SUV.
While that doesn’t necessarily mean Jeep is indirectly mentioning the Grand Wagoneer to us, we tend to believe the teaser posted is referring to this particular model and not the next-gen Grand Cherokee mid-size SUV.
The full-size Grand Wagoneer SUV has been around for a long time considering Jeep first announced it more than two years ago, showing everyone its roadmap to 2022, which also included the appearance of the regular Wagoneer as well as a new three-row SUV that will be positioned between the next Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer. …
We’ll likely have to wait a few more weeks to find out even more details about the Grand Wagoneer, but we know exactly when the new item is slated to begin production. According to a recently released internal document from the automaker, the new product will go into production in the second quarter of 2021, at the same time production of the regular Wagoneer should start.
The Grand Wagoneer will likely be built on the same platform as the full-size Ram 1500 pickup. It will reportedly feature a 12-inch bezel-less touchscreen infotainment system, head-up display, rear-seat entertainment system, and trim first-class materials are used.
According to the latest data, the Grand Wagoneer will have a Level 3 semi-autonomous driving system and a plug-in hybrid engine with a range of around 48 kilometers. Most likely, the engine range for the novelty will also be borrowed from the Ram 1500 pickup truck. Buyers will have access to both rear-wheel drive configuration and all-wheel drive, as well as an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
