The first shots of Buick Envision S appeared in ChinaMarch 17, 2020
Buick has a successor to China’s Envision SUV, which is similar to the Enspire concept, but with a different name.
At the beginning of 2018, Buick demonstrated the Enspire concept, a prototype model with a powerful electric propulsion system with a capacity of about 560 hp. Such an electric SUV is not yet in the Buick showrooms, but the design of the Enspire concept is really back. The joint venture SAIC-GM has a new SUV in development that bears a strong resemblance to this show car. The first newcomer photos have already appeared in China.
Judging by the photographs, the outside of the new SUV is clearly based on the Enspire concept, the car will not use this name. In the near future, Buick will add the SUV to the current Envision line in China as a new version of the model, which means that the car will have at least the Envision name on the rear panel, possibly with some kind of addition. A Chinese newcomer can get the GX add-on, a two-letter combination that Buick already uses for a longer version of the regular Encore.
Although Buick has not yet said a word about the new model, local reports from China indicate that the model in question will be sold as Envision S. This new version is classified as the more expensive and luxurious Envision brother, which has already been updated several times. Power is expected to come from a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with nearly 240 horsepower.
