The first pictures of the interior of the electric car Hyundai Ioniq 5 were published on the webFebruary 15, 2021
The Korean automaker for the first time officially demonstrated the interior of its future electric car Ioniq 5. The center console of Universal Island became the centerpiece of the “living space” of the electric car, which can be moved longitudinally for easy disembarkation and landing.
As a reminder, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is built on the new E-GMP electric vehicle platform. The car will be produced with two battery options – 58 and 73 kW / h. According to the manufacturer, the car will be able to travel from one charge to 450 kilometers in the first case and up to 550 kilometers in the second. In addition, the Solar Roof option will be available for the initial version, which will increase the range to 510 kilometers, whether the option will be available for the second option is not reported.
A key element of the Ioniq 5’s interior is the moveable center console dubbed Universal Island. It allows you to move the passenger seat and armrest in the longitudinal direction, making it easier to get into and out of the car, say, in parking lots. The front seats of the crossover are equipped with supports for the legs, while the rear ones can be adjusted and rearranged at your discretion, and this functionality, according to Hyundai, is useful for those who often carry children or pets in the car. And Ioniq 5 customers also care about the environment, so materials from recycled materials and natural fibers are used for the interior decoration.
Earlier it became known that Hyundai has finally published a new date for the premiere of its first production electric car Hyundai Ioniq 5 – the presentation will take place on February 16. Previously, the manufacturer has postponed the premiere date indefinitely without official announcements.
