The first photos of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC appearedMay 29, 2020
The premiere of the Mercedes-Benz GLC crossover, which replaced the GLK model, took place in 2015, and the planned family update took place just over a year ago.
Nevertheless, the tests have already caught the future GLC, which, according to available information, will get the internal index X254. Naturally, the design details can not yet be seen due to camouflage, but it is already clear that the crossover will have new dimensions: the body will become slightly lower and longer. Note that the main increase will be on the hood.
The front optics of the prototype, it seems, are already serial, although instead of the rear lights there are still temporary options. A solid rear overhang reports that the new GLC will have a third row of seats, although it is possible that camouflage pads on the body create such an effect. Probably, the future crossover will share the “truck” with the new generation C-Class Mercedes, which will be declassified already in 2020, and will have a similar set of engines: all four- and six-cylinder units will have soft-hybrid superstructures, and rechargeable variations (now it’s the GLC 300 e and the GLC 300 de) will surely get bigger. However, the appearance of the next generation crossover is unlikely to happen before 2022.
