The first photos of the Audi A6 Allroad 2020 model yearOctober 9, 2018
Audi has launched a new A6 in the off-road Allroad off-road test. According to preliminary information, the model will be presented next year as a car of the 2020 model year.
Volvo V90 Cross Country and Mercedes E-class All-Terrain lead us to the idea that the segment of expensive cross-station wagons is gradually filling, and the competition is intensifying. Audi does not stand aside, and has already put to the test the A6 Allroad, a cross-station wagon preparing for its debut in 2020. But it seems that the guys from Ingolstadt are not worried about the competition.
Judging by the spy photos, the car almost corresponds to the usual wagon, and received a slight body kit around the perimeter of the body, which should imitate the “off-road” model. Small changes in bumpers, completely modest wheel arch extensions, and especially black alloy wheels give out a completely urban car in the A6 Allroad.
Of course, we can not accurately judge the clearance, because the car is equipped with air suspension, but now it looks quite normal for a sedan or station wagon.
At the moment we can only talk about what we saw. There is no official information about the future novelty. All information is our guess.
Speaking of the A6 Allroad, we can assume the borrowing of the motor line from the usual A6. Therefore, you can safely expect a 204-horsepower two-liter turbo engine, as well as two versions of the 3.0-liter TDI engine with power up to 231 and 286 horsepower. Together with all units, an automatic transmission can be installed in seven or eight stages.
In addition, you can expect as an option proprietary all-wheel drive system quattro Ultra. This system allows the car to turn off the rear axle to save fuel, and quickly connects it on a slippery road or in other conditions.
Another feature of the “off-road” version can be new modes for the transmission, which are not on the A6 sedan. It is expected that the presentation may take place early next year, and sales will begin closer to summer.
