The first photo of the Porsche Panamera from Mercedes has appearedMarch 5, 2018
The first official photograph of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 four-door supercar, premiered on March 6 at the Geneva Motor Show, was released at the disposal of Carscoops. The novelty will compete with the Audi RS7 Sportback, Porsche Panamera, as well as the future BMW M8 Gran Coupe.
The serial car carries the main stylistic elements of the prototype Mercedes-AMG Concept, presented last spring. Plus, the four-door supercar will receive an active rear spoiler that will automatically move forward after reaching a certain speed.
According to preliminary data, the Mercedes-AMG GT4 will be equipped with a four-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, which, for example, will produce 610 horsepower on the AMG E63. According to another version, the novelty will be equipped with a hybrid power unit, created on the basis of the same engine, which will work in pairs with an electric motor. The total return of the units will be about 800 hp. Such a car will be able to compete directly with the 680-hp Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
The Mercedes-AMG GT4 will replace the current CLS 63 AMG in the German brand. It is expected that serial production of the novelty will begin in September, and the first cars will reach buyers until the end of this year.
