The first MINI Electric “Tomboy” images were shown on the webDecember 23, 2019
After long hidden tests, MINI nevertheless gathered strength and decided to promote the all-electric Cooper SE, presented recently.
Kia and Hyundai are companies that can rightfully be considered examples of the work well done to create an electric car. However, customers expect more from MINI. In the end, the original car was, in our opinion, the most influential model of the 20th century.
Nevertheless, MINI, in its desire to launch EV sales as soon as possible, showed the electric Cooper SE of a special assembly, inserting new components into the platform, which was created for a completely different job.
A student at Korea National University of the Arts, Sean Koyun, showed his vision for such a car, proving that there are still many ways to invent a car, and companies should probably give up their traditional approaches from time to time. In any case, many of the MINI Tomboy proportions have important differences from the Cooper SE, although it is still well read.
The designer retained the deep, rounded shape of the hood, but matched it with halo-like headlights. The front grill is completely different. Minimal overhangs and a compacted two-seater layout indicate the racing character of the electric car, although the Korean artist, regardless of such a large number of glass, manages to give it an airy look.
