McLaren will traditionally offer a limited edition version of Spider for its hardcore 765LT. This is exactly what happened with the 675LT and 600LT, and the renders from Nikita Aksenov show what the latest Super Series model with a folding hardtop will look like.
Compared to the “regular” 720S, the 765LT has many visual and aerodynamic modifications. For example, the front part is equipped with a new front splitter and bumper, and a pair of ventilation holes also “proudly sits” above the wheel arches. At the rear, the situation is even more impressive thanks to four new exhaust pipes, a distinctive bumper and a carbon fiber diffuser.
If McLaren really made the 765LT Spider, it would probably be mechanically identical to the coupe. Consequently, its modified 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 will produce at least 755 hp. and 799 Nm of torque and can reach a speed of 96 km / h in about 2.7 seconds and 200 km / h in 7.2 seconds. A quarter mile will also pass in less than 10 seconds.
One particularly interesting aspect of the coupe’s design is the elongated rear window, which allowed McLaren to install a small porthole in the cabin, which looks directly at the engine. Unfortunately, the design of the potential 765LT Spider would not allow this, and this detail would probably be identical to the design of the 720S Spider.
McLaren built 500 copies of the 675LT Coupe and 500 units of the 675LT Spider. There are 765 copies planned for the serial 765LT, so if Spider is made, it will also be limited to 765 copies.
