The first “live” photos of the new Volkswagen Golf R are publishedAugust 12, 2020
The Volkswagen Golf R showcased a powerful exhaust, steering wheel and rim design. VW won’t be showing a hot hatchback anytime soon: The German brand has confirmed that the Golf R and Golf GTI will arrive at dealerships in the third quarter of 2020.
Since the launch of the eighth generation Volkswagen Golf, expectations for a more powerful version, the Golf R, have been high for fans of the German hot hatch. He was spotted with almost no camouflage at the Nurburgring, so even before his highly anticipated debut, it is largely known what he will look like.
A fresh Instagram post contains three leaked photos of the Golf R. The first shows the massive four-sided tailpipes and rear diffuser of the Golf R. One can’t help but notice the new VW R logo in the center of the tailgate, along with the updated company emblem. The following image shows the updated Golf R Y-shaped rims. The wheel itself is 20 inches in diameter due to the rather low tire profile. It’s also hard to miss the huge blue R-caliper brakes.
Another image showcases the steering wheel and instrument display of the upcoming Golf R, which houses a host of tech toys, including adaptive cruise control and what looks like soft-touch buttons. The driver display is also fully digital, which, again, is not surprising at all.
