Aura will be smaller than Solaris
Hyundai’s Indian office has published sketches of a new sedan for the local market. The subcompact Aura will be smaller than Solaris in size. It is built on the basis of the hatchback Grand i10 Nios and, obviously, will share the technical stuffing with it.
At Hyundai, the styling of the Aura sedan is called “the sporty and futuristic embodiment of the Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy.” This “language” the South Korean brand first demonstrated this spring on the concept of Le Fil Rouge. The debut production model in the style of “sensual sportiness” was the new Sonata.
Externally, the Hyundai Aura is exactly the same as the Grand i10 Nios. In place were a wide grille and “boomerangs” of navigation lights. Inside, according to rumors, everything is also unchanged: an eight-inch screen of the multimedia complex, a digital-analog dashboard and a two-color finish.
The range of powertrains will go Aura from the Grand i10. A subcompact sedan can be ordered with a 1.2 turbo diesel engine rated at 75 horsepower or an atmospheric Quartet of the same volume, delivering 83 horsepower. Both engines will be combined with manual or robotized transmisson.
