The first images of the new hybrid Toyota Prius surfacedMay 4, 2021
The first details about the next generation Toyota Prius hybrid model appeared on the web. They were obtained by Japanese colleagues from BestCarWeb through insiders close to the concern.
The highlight of 2023 will be a complete overhaul of the Japanese Prius model. The foreign car was redesigned using the TNGA platform. The updated model is mostly transitional. When creating it, the designers paid attention to its appearance. It will be more stylish and sporty than the current model.
The updated model can be presented with a 6-cylinder turbocharged engine, a 3-liter engine and a Supra GRMN unit with a capacity of 520 hp. These power plants will appear before the release of electrical versions.
A new Prius is under development. Its debut is scheduled for January 2023. According to the latest information, this is basically a concept model with a 1.8-liter hybrid unit and the current lithium-ion battery. However, the base engine significantly improves efficiency and further improves fuel efficiency.
The focus is on the sporty design, which further evolved the TNGA’s low center of gravity and implemented a low and wide body silhouette.
The new model is aimed more at a sports coupe than a family car. In addition, futuristic interior design will play an important role in the sale.
